The Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference (GC&E) has been a meeting ground for advancing sustainable science and solutions since 1996. Hosted by the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) Green Chemistry Institute, powered by leading thinkers in the field, and supported by many companies and organizations, the 22nd annual event will be will be held in Portland, Oregon on Monday June 18 to Wednesday June 20, 2018.

The 21st Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference (GC&E) provided an opportunity for a diverse network of over 500 academic, industrial, and government stakeholders to network and learn about the newest ideas in sustainable approaches to chemistry, chemicals, processes, and products.  Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. Prop 65 and Green Chemistry Clearinghouse Annual Conference, September 15-16, 2016, San Francisco, California

Acta affiliate Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. was proud to once again be a sponsor of the Prop 65 and Green Chemistry Clearinghouse Annual Conference. The Prop. 65 Conference, held Thursday, September 15, 2016, included panels discussing what to expect from proposed changes to the Prop. 65 Warning Regulations and the Attorney General's Prop. 65 Regulations.  The Green Chemistry Conference, held Friday, September 16, 2016,  focused on the new TSCA legislation. A former Senior Advisor to the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg lead the discussion on TSCA and B&C shared our insight regarding impacts on innovation and new chemicals.

Sustainable Futures Training Workshop, August 5-7, 2014, Washington, D.C.

Participants learned how to pre-screen new chemicals using EPA’s models and methods during this hands-on, three-day workshop. They learned about a variety of tools, methods, and models that can be used to assess the hazard and potential exposure of chemicals early in the development process and anticipate regulatory action before submitting the chemical to EPA for review. Invited presenters included EPA Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) staff with experience in the EPA New Chemicals Program and Premanufacture Notification (PMN) review process.
