Lynn L. Bergeson Named One of the Top 50 Women Super Lawyers in Washington, D.C.

Washington D.C. May 1, 2018:  Bergeson & Campbell, P.C., Managing Partner and The Acta Group President Lynn L. Bergeson has been named one of the “Top 50:  2018 Women Super Lawyers” by Thompson Reuters’ Super Lawyers Washington, D.C. edition.  Each year, Super Lawyers recognizes top lawyers via a multiphase selection process involving peer nomination, independent research, and peer evaluation.  The lawyers who receive the highest point totals during this selection process are further recognized in Super Lawyers’ Top Lists.  This is Ms. Bergeson’s first appearance on the Top 50 Women list.  Ms. Bergeson has also been named by Super Lawyers as a top-rated 2018 Washington, D.C. Environmental Lawyer, a distinction she has earned yearly for over a decade.
 
The Top 50 Women Super Lawyers accolade adds to Ms. Bergeson’s long list of recognition for professional achievement, a list that includes perennial inclusion in U.S. News & World Report’s First Tier, Chambers & Partners Band 1, Best Lawyers in America, and Washingtonian’s Best Lawyers.
 
Ms. Bergeson counsels corporations, trade associations, and business consortia on a wide range of issues pertaining to chemical hazard, exposure and risk assessment, risk communication, minimizing legal liability, and evolving regulatory, policy, and business matters pertinent to conventional, biobased, and nanoscale chemicals, particularly with respect to the recently amended Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA), the European Union’s (EU) Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulation and REACH-like programs, and U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) matters.
 
Ms. Bergeson currently serves as Vice Chair of the International Bar Association’s Agricultural Law Section, Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources Committee on Pesticides, Chemical Regulation, and Right-to-Know, and is on the Board of Directors of the Product Stewardship Society, and serves as President-Elect.
