Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. Launches TSCAblog.com to Provide News and Analysis on TSCA Reform Implementation and Related Legal and Policy Developments
Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®) announced today the launch of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Blog (TSCAblog™) to track and report regulatory, scientific, legal, and policy developments under the “new TSCA.” On June 22, 2016, President Obama signed into law the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (Lautenberg), which makes important changes to TSCA and is the first revision of U.S. domestic chemical management law in 40 years. Stakeholders will need immediately to understand what the “new TSCA” means for their industrial operations and strategically adjust their global operations to the new law. The TSCAblog is available at www.TSCAblog.com.
For more than 25 years, B&C has offered clients an unparalleled level of experience and excellence in matters relating to TSCA. B&C’s TSCA practice group includes five former senior U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials, an extensive scientific staff (including seven Ph.D.s), and a robust and highly experienced team of lawyers and non-lawyer professionals extremely well versed in all aspects of TSCA law, regulation, policy, and litigation. Through the TSCAblog, these professionals will offer readers timely updates, expert insight, and clear analysis on the issues and developments critical to the success of companies in the global chemical and chemical products market as regulators and the regulated community work through the tsunami of changes wrought by Lautenberg.
Contributors to the blog will include:
- Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner, B&C;
- James V. Aidala, Senior Government Affairs Consultant, B&C, and former EPA Assistant Administrator for Toxics;
- Oscar Hernandez, Ph.D., Senior Regulatory Chemist, B&C, and former Director of the Risk Assessment Division (RAD) in the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT);
- Richard E. Engler, Ph.D., Senior Chemist, B&C, and former senior staff scientist in OPPT; and
- Charles M. Auer, of B&C affiliate Charles Auer & Associates, LLC, and former Director of OPPT.
TSCAblog joins the family of very successful blogs published by B&C — the Nano and Other Emerging Chemical Technologies Blog, the BRAG® Biobased Products Blog, and the Pesticide Law and Policy Blog®, which reach thousands of readers interested in the vital regulatory, policy, and industry developments in these sectors.
