Overview
L. Claire Hansen is a Regulatory Analyst with The Acta Group (Acta®). Mx. Hansen delivers accurate and efficient research and analysis support for domestic and international legal and regulatory issues, including those pertaining to Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), and the European Union (EU) Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) policy matters.
Representative Engagements
- Assists multinational manufacturers and importers of chemicals in evaluating compliance obligations under TSCA, FIFRA, and related federal chemical regulatory requirements for products entering the U.S. market.
- Assists clients with assessing business impacts and developing compliance strategies for emerging federal and state chemical management, EPR, and product stewardship requirements under the European Union’s (EU) Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
- Prepares client advisories, compliance tools, and training materials addressing developments under TSCA, FIFRA, state chemical reporting programs, and other environmental and product stewardship requirements.
- Supports manufacturers, retailers, and producer responsibility organizations (PRO) in evaluating obligations under state battery, electronics, and packaging EPR laws and proposed legislation.
- Researches and analyzes evolving domestic and international regulatory frameworks affecting chemicals, pesticides, batteries, and consumer products to support client compliance and market access objectives.
