Overview

Max L. Moseley, MSc is an experienced Regulatory Specialist in The Acta Group’s (Acta®) Manchester, England, office. Mr. Moseley assists clients in the United Kingdom (UK), the European Union (EU), and worldwide with global chemical regulatory compliance while keeping a keen focus on attendant business impacts. Within the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) framework, he concentrates on the full spectrum of support services for co-registrants and lead registrants, including compiling and submitting International Uniform Chemical Information Database (IUCLID) dossiers, performing data gap assessments, authoring robust study summaries (RSS), completing quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) assessments, and designing integrated testing strategies.

Representative Engagements

  • Assisted a client to complete a complex substance characterisation for a naturally derived unknown or variable composition, complex reaction product or biological material (UVCB) substance, requiring an extensive analytical strategy and multiple simultaneous study monitoring activities. Subsequently collaborated with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) to determine an appropriate registration outcome through the inquiry process.
  • Managed a portfolio of different flavouring substances for a chemical product manufacturer and assisted with the design and fulfilment of the complex testing strategies required as part of the registrations.
  • Provided technical and regulatory expertise to a preservative manufacturer working on an EU REACH lead registration. Responsible for the authoring and dissemination of a data gap analysis, design and delivery of an integrated testing strategy, and preparation of the IUCLID dossier.
  • Coordinated efforts on behalf of a cleaning products manufacturer to improve its sustainable product labelling as part of a wider goal to achieve sustainable innovation.
