Product Stewardship Society Names Lynn L. Bergeson as Recipient of the 2024 Allan K. Fleeger Distinguished Service Award

The Acta Group (Acta^®) and Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C^®) are pleased to announce that Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner of B&C and President of Acta, is recipient of the 2024 Allan K. Fleeger Distinguished Service Award from the Product Stewardship Society^® (PSS). PSS established the award in 2018 to recognize extraordinary contributions by a product steward to the growth and success of PSS and the product stewardship profession.

Ms. Bergeson served as a Member of the PSS Board of Directors from 2015 to 2019 and as President from 2019 to 2021. During her time on the Board, Lynn worked with the Board for Global EHS Credentialing to launch the Certified Professional Product Steward^® (CPPS^®) credential, establishing a common framework to define the practice of product stewardship for the future. Ms. Bergeson also oversaw the development of the PSS team membership option, providing professional development and other member-exclusive resources to more product stewards.

Ms. Bergeson will be presented with the Alan K. Fleeger Distinguished Service Award at PSX 2024, October 15-17, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. To learn more about the award criteria and selection process, visit the PSS awards and recognition page.

Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner of B&C, counsels corporations, trade associations, and business consortia on a wide range of issues pertaining to chemical hazard, exposure and risk assessment, risk communication, minimizing legal liability, and evolving regulatory and policy matters pertinent to conventional, biobased, and nanoscale chemicals. Ms. Bergeson is Co-Chair of the International Bar Association (IBA) Agriculture and Food Section; is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL), where she serves as a Regent and is on the Executive Committee; served as chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources; and is on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Law Institute (ELI); among many other leadership positions. Ms. Bergeson is also President of Acta, B&C’s scientific and regulatory consulting arm with offices in Washington, D.C., the United Kingdom, and Brussels, and President of B&C^® Consortia Management, L.L.C. (BCCM), which helps the chemical industry form consortia to achieve shared research, testing, and regulatory goals.
