Compliance & Risks will present a complimentary webinar this Thursday to inform and educate participants about the latest developments in the regulation of nanotechnology and nanomaterials. There is no charge for the webinar, though online registration is required.
Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner of Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), and an internationally renowned expert on issues of governance, regulation, and policy regarding nanotechnology, biotechnology, and other emerging transformative technologies, will share her insight and analysis regarding existing and emerging governance tools in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, in the following areas:
- Environmental (media specific — air, water, and waste);
- Product safety (consumer product and product liability);
- Product-specific (industrial, agricultural, and biocide); and
- Workplace protection (workers, ambient air, and health and safety standards).
Ms. Bergeson will highlight governance methods relating to nanotechnology chemical applications in specific products, such as food contact materials, cosmetics, and medical devices, and explore nanotechnology governance approaches that are due to become operational in 2015 and beyond.
